PerkinElmer Unveils EnSpire™ Multilabel Plate Readers for Life Sciences Research, Assay Development and Drug Discovery
WALTHAM, Mass., Jan 26, 2009 (BUSINESS WIRE) --PerkinElmer, Inc., a global leader focused on the health and safety of people and the environment, today announced the launch of the EnSpire™ family ofmultilabel plate readers, including EnSpire™,EnSpire™ Alpha and EnSpire™ AlphaPLUS, to provide researchers with access to advanced assay development technologies for improved research outcomes.
The EnSpire™ Multilabel Plate Reader platform features flexible plate readers to deliver high performance detection, easy to use software, and affordable configurations adaptable for any size lab with diverse user groups. EnSpire™ plate readers are available in three configurations:
- EnSpire™ -Quad monochromator-based detection platform for UV/Absorbance and Fluorescence Intensity (FI)
- EnSpire™ Alpha -for dedicated use of PerkinElmer's ALPHA technology
- EnSpire™ AlphaPLUS -for multi-functionality enabling both ALPHA and ELISAs; includes ALPHA and UV/Absorbance detection technologies
PerkinElmer's ALPHA (Amplified Luminescent Proximity Homogenous Assay) technology comprises the "No Wash" AlphaLISA® Alphascreen® and Alphascreen® SureFire® technologies, which offer a powerful bead-based platform that allows the highly sensitive detection of biomolecules and biomolecular interactions without cumbersome wash steps.
